On August 22, the jazz club MASA will host a concert dedicated to Miles Davis, one of the most influential jazz musicians of the 20th century.
Trumpeter and composer Miles Davis repeatedly changed the direction of jazz development - from bebop and cool jazz to electric fusion. His courage to constantly search for a new sound made him one of the most significant figures in jazz history. As Davis himself once said: "I'm not afraid of mistakes - they don't exist."
This evening, a quartet of new generation musicians will perform Davis's most iconic compositions, maintaining respect for their original sound and complementing them with their own arrangements.
Line-up:
Renārs Brūniņš – trumpet
Milana Maksimova – drums
Gustavs Saulītis – bass
Agnese Muste – piano
